Pinnacles For Youth

Overview Pinnacles for Youth is a coeducational nonprofit organization that was founded in August of 2007, by former Marquette University basketball standout Roney Eford. Roney's desire and goal is to provide Milwaukee youths with exceptional academic, athletic, and life-skill programs.

Our programs create positive alternatives for the youth of Milwaukee and promote education, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We help youths find positive solutions to obstacles, and provide the necessary tools for them to become leaders.

Pinnacles for Youth educates, empowers, and uplifts economically disadvantaged youths through year-round academic and athletic programs that enable them to receive academic support and to achieve success in school and life.

The highest point of development or achievement. This is precisely what we aim towards and work hard for. We want all of our youths to reach for the highest achievements in academics, athletics, and life.

The City of Milwaukee needs Pinnacles for Youth because of the recent rise in gang violence here and across the USA. The following statistics clearly represent how urgently Pinnacles for Youth is needed:

Milwaukee has the 4th highest rate in the USA of children under 18 living in poverty.
Milwaukee has only a 45% high school graduation rate.
Milwaukee has one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the nation.
Milwaukee students participate in extra-curricular activities at just half the ratio of other Wisconsin school students.

Our youths must be offered alternatives to gangs, violence, and idleness. Pinnacles for Youth ardently believes with the right activities the behaviors of our youths can be curbed, and heads can be turned towards the direction of success.

Our programs rely heavily on community, individual and corporate support. We also accept in-kind donations for our participants. We are always seeking volunteers for our organization. We have applied for our IRS determination letter and are a pending 501 (c) (3) organization. Donations can be mailed to our address and made payable to Pinnacles for Youth, Inc.
